Point Nepean is one of Victoria's most beautiful natural landscapes. The park is 560 hectares located at the tip of the Mornington Peninsula. Scenery includes outstanding coastal and panoramic views of Bass Strait, the Rip and Port Phillip Bay and what better way to see them, then a bike ride.
Our tour begins from inside the park where we meet our guides. From this point we ride past the historical precinct around the Quarantine Station and Gunners Cottage, Stopping off at various sites in the park including the historic Cattle Jetty, Pearce Barracks and Eagles Nest . Then on along Defence Road to Fort Nepean. Here you have time to explore the tunnels, forts and gun emplacements from which the first allied shots of both World War l and World War ll were fired.
